PHPBB based music band e-commerce site

Intelligaia created a customized, secure application for a Virginia based upcoming band group. We established a unique look and feel for the website that facilitated easy navigation. The designers decided on using fewer but high saturation colors which makes the site imagery modern, in sync with the American Rap music culture. The font was used keeping in mind their style of music that is music for 'THE PEOPLE'. The idea was to be able to create an identity for our clients; keeping the site fresh and individual, yet commercially marketable.

Challenge

The single most important purpose of this website was to get shows booked for the singers and keep their fans updated about their upcoming performances.
Constant interaction with their fans through the website was another important requirement of our clients.

Provisions was to be made for audio samples of their songs as well as video recordings of their live performances on youtube.

The singer duo needed to be able to easily control massive amounts of products, news, events, and other information, that is basically market their products/merchandise.

Solution

We started by creating two different designs for the home page keeping in view that we will be using PHPBB for development. CSS was extensively used for creating the pages.

We created a separate form for getting their shows booked as well as created a segment furnishing information about their upcoming live performances.
The formation of a fan club both simple as well as premium took care that the fans were in constant touch with the singers. Facilities for free ringtone downloads, free CD, sweatshirts were added incentives provided to the fan club members.

Dynamic news and events was made available on the home page. A flash based dynamic juke box could also be availed on the home page.

A comprehensive search facility for all the products was provided that took the viewer to the appropriate product details.

Our client thinks the new site is terrific. They were truly amazed as to how we were able to aptly reflect the spirit of RAP music through the site. Further, they are very satisfied with their increasing list of fan club members.
